Swapping Lenses/Optician's Guide

1Glass Lite

The front frames on 1Glass Lite can be treated like standard eyewear. That means your optician can treat the frames like they would any normal pair of glasses, and can make any adjustments to them they would like.

The legs of 1Glass Lite are non-adjustable. They are not meant to bend, and contain components like batteries, so the legs should not be heated under any circumstances.

With 1Glass Lite, we recommend removing and swapping lenses with a trained optician. Removing or installing lenses yourself could scratch or otherwise damage the front frames.

If you or your provider are uncomfortable fitting lenses due to the electronics, you can simply unscrew the legs at the hinges and remove the legs entirely. By removing the front frame from the legs, you will have separated the electronics entirely. You can then heat and adjust the front frame as you please, and re-attach the legs afterward using the same screws.

The below video demonstrates replacing the lenses on a pair of 1Glass Lite - Cygnus frames.
